The Rathcormac Game and Wildlife Club encourages youth to participate in clay pigeon shooting as well as game shooting. At 14 years you are eligible to apply for a training gun licence through your trainer which is normally a father but can be anybody who holds a gun licence. We insist on all young members taking part in the Cork Federation’s Proficiency One Day Proficiency Course where participants have to undergo an exam in order to receive their competency certificate which then enables them to get a full licence when they reach their 16th birthday.
As a member of Rathcormac Game and Wildlife Club you’ll learn all about how to take part in clay pigeon shooting in a responsible way.
We help all members learn and stay up to date with gun handling, shooting etiquette, and safety procedures. We’ll introduce you to the wide range of different clay disciplines and shooting techniques available.
You’ll benefit from the support of other club members, and – as members of the Cork Federation of Gun Clubs – we’ll keep you informed about events organised across the county too.
