The Corrin Nature Reserve is set to become a much-loved public amenity area.
Leave No Trace Please; Leave No Trace is an outdoor ethics programme designed to promote and inspire responsible outdoor recreation through education, research and partnerships.
In the reserve, we’ve installed a duck pond, picnic areas, and viewing platforms – just some of the areas for the public to enjoy when visiting Rathcormac’s Wildlife Sanctuary.
Visitors can enjoy the wildlife, view the many birds and butterflies as they come to rest in the sanctuary, and relax in a beautiful, natural setting. We have created some nice stonework features to attract nesting birds and pools for frogs, and the reserve’s wildflower meadows attract insects and butterflies. Spot the grey partridges and pheasants as they wander about and enjoy learning more about the biodiversity of our local landscape.
Sponsorship Opportunities
The reserve offers a wonderful opportunity for businesses to become associated with what is set to become a much-loved local amenity, and we would welcome interest from potential sponsors of the nature reserve.
Around €200,000 has been spent to date on the project through a combination of funds raised by local groups and LEADER funding. We are now looking for support as we work towards completing the reserve.
All of our sponsors will be acknowledged on our sponsors board and we will take every opportunity to ensure that they benefit from association with the nature reserve.
